Krzysztof Borusowski, President of the Board BEST S.A.

He has many years of experience in a broad range of financial services. As the Managing Director of Kouri Capital Poland Ltd. and BBH Capital Partners Sp. z o.o. he led M&A projects in the field of investment banking in the following institutions: Polsko-Amerykański Bank Hipoteczny S.A., BWR S.A., BWR Bank Secesyjny S.A. and Cuprum Bank S.A. In 2002, Mr Borusowski successfully completed a project involving the development of a financial group around Dominet S.A., including the purchase of Cuprum Bank S.A. and the introduction of a financial investor from the Merrill Lynch Group. He worked as a consultant at Bain & Company in Boston (USA) and as a manager at Schroder Poland. Mr Borusowski was the representative of the State Treasury in the Supervisory Board of BPH S.A. until the bank’s privatisation. He is a graduate of Economics at the Catholic University of Lublin (KUL) and he holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Paweł Kuśmierowski, Vice President of the Board NEUCA S.A.

He graduated from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków as well as IESE Business School. From 2016-2018 he was associated with PZU Zdrowie (from May 2017 he was a member of the Board of Directors, previously the director of the Operations Division). Mr Kuśmierowski is the creator of a strategy for the development of a healthcare business within the PZU Group. Previously, from 2010-2016 he was the director of the Transformation Program at PZU SA and PZU Życie, responsible for the business concept, sales and service development strategy, as well as transforming the organization to a new model of customer relations.  Before joining the PZU Paweł Kuśmierowski held managerial positions at companies such as Multimedia Polska and Orange. Earlier in the 1990s, he gained experience in consulting at A.T.Kearney, Accenture and Deloitte&Touche. Mr Kuśmierowski became a member of NEUCA Group’s Board of Directors in March 2019. His responsibility it to manage the area of patient businesses.


Agata graduated from Aerospace Engineering at the University of Glasgow and is now a PhD student at the University of Southampton. She works as a Pathways Operation Manager in the Wroclaw branch of Amazon, where she is responsible for managing operations in the Amazon Realisation Center.

Privately Agata is a sports enthusiast and was a member of her university team in track cycling. Her engagements allowed her to win numerous medals in the UK Championships and support the UK national team in preparations for Winter Olympic Games in 2018. She also completed Ironman Mallorca in 2016.

Mateusz, New York University Abu Dhabi

He is a Polish entrepreneur and investor. In recognition of his outstanding achievements Mateusz was listed in “Forbes 30 under 30” ranking. Having created a communicator for deaf people called Five App, he completed several other projects in the Blockchain and financial industry. Mateusz is going to advise on how to combine academic work with business projects and also how to carry out an initiative from the creative stage up to implementation and attracting investors and first clients.

Academic Mentors

Klaudia, University of Oxford

She is a PPE student. Klaudia will help you choose a suitable university, write an interesting Personal Statement, and advise on the application process. Besides her studies, she likes traveling, dance and martial arts. She also takes interest in the history of art and photography.

Kajetan, Sciences Po Paris

This year he graduated from Sciences Po Paris, where he studied PPE and then Finance and Strategy. Kajetan will prove that there are interesting courses besides those in the UK and the US. He is an enthusiast of skiing and debating. One of Kajetan’s notable achievements is being the co-founder of the first Polish student organization in France.

Julia, University of Oxford

She is currently studying medicine at Lincoln College, University of Oxford. Julia is an alumna of the UWC Poland scholarship program. In May 2019 she started an undergraduate research project, concerning melanotic cancer at the Department of Oncology. In the future Julia would like to work both in the clinical and academic field. In her spare time she rows in the college rowing club.

Gosia, University College London

She studies Medicine. Gosia is passionate about music and she recently attended a music conservatory. Apart from discussing application process for medicine in the UK, she will also advise on how to prepare for BMAT and write an outstanding university application for Medicine and other science courses. Gosia participated and organized numerous European Youth Parliament conferences which made her fall in love with traveling.

Kacper, Harvard University

He studies mathematics and economics. Kacper will provide help in preparing for the SAT (Reasoning and Subject) and writing essays, as well as getting ready for the interviews. Besides his studies and work, Kacper is keen on music (he plays drums) and is interested in technology, global politics, and business.

Marta, University of Oxford

She is an engineering student which has always been her dream. Marta received the BAS scholarship and in her spare time she takes part in outreach projects. She will tell you how to prepare for admissions tests for science courses and how to perform well during the interviews at the best British universities. Having been training karate for eight years, she is also a member of the Oxford University Karate Club.

Andrzej, Bocconi University

He is an alumnus of the Batory High School in Warsaw. Andrzej currently studies at Bocconi University in Milan. He has won numerous history contests even though he studies economics. Besides that, Andrzej likes bad books and films, as well as good company. In his spare time, he enjoys sailing, skiing, and windsurfing.

Piotr, University of Oxford

Piotr is currently second-year Mathematics student at Christ Church College, University of Oxford. He will share important tips to help participants write a successful application for science courses at British universities. In his spare time, Piotr plays in the college football team and is interested in technology and sports.

Julia, University of Oxford

She studies Chemistry. Julia is here to help you write a successful university application and advise you on what extracurricular activities you should take to improve your Personal Statement. Alongside her studies, she cooks and is an amateur swimmer. Julia takes interest also in logical games and historical documentary films.

Maciek, University of Edinburgh

Maciek currently studies Computer Science and will be residing in Toronto next year. He will talk about possibilities of working in start-ups during and after studies. In his spare time, Maciek plays tennis, sails and looks for cheap flight tickets. He previously created successful mobile apps for iOS and Android systems.

Agnieszka, London School of Economics

Having completed a degree in Law at Dundee University in Scotland, Agnieszka is now a postgraduate Management student in London. She also took part in the Erasmus program in Spain. She is going to share her experience on finance, studying abroad and getting a job within an international corporation in the UK, including consulting, IT and consumer good sectors.

Aside from her studies, Agnieszka is involved in several projects — she was the founder of the first Polish society at Dundee University and the leader of a consulting project for a London-based start-up (in which she was leading a group of 7 students). Agnieszka can also pride herself on being the co-organizer of the largest Polish economic conference in the UK: LSE Polish Economic Forum 2019.

Dobromił, London School of Economics

Being an alumni of Stefan Batory High School in Warsaw, he studies Philosophy and Politics. Dobromił will talk about the benefits of non-standard combinations of subjects at Matura and how to get the dream scholarship. In his free time, he is an amateur cook, sailor and debate enthusiast.
